Christmas Eve 2016
Christmas Eve was amazing! I am blessed to say each year gets better and better. Each year we attended my church’s annual Christmas Eve candle light service. *Side note- this year we expanded to 2 services because so many people have attend in the past! After service, my entire family went to a Hibachi dinner and then to my parents for some presents and dessert!
Every year I have a different outfit in my mind and thankfully my husband lets me bring it to life. I found this incredible floral dress at the Windsor Store. I was on their site purchasing a completely different item. If I can buy something to qualify for free shipping, I search and search until it is worth it spending more so I feel like I’m saving more. It makes sense to me. Unfortunately, the Windsor Store does not run a free shipping deal- AT ALL. I hemmed and hawed over this dress, and no other dress would complete my vision. (I am not sorry for who I am.) My sister- in -law had to place an order so I took it as a sign that I should too.
This dress is beautiful, however, not the best quality. I threw it in the dryer to fluff it and 2 buttons fell off. The dress is extremely long. Like very long! I am 5’2 and wore 4 inch pointed toe ankle boots, and I still had to carry the bottom. By the end of the night I tied it in a knot so my stiletto didn’t rip it. It is probably 7-9 inches too long with every shoe I own! If you do decide to purchase this dress I would recommend getting it hemmed for a custom fit. Other than the reasons above; it ended up being beautiful and I can’t wait to wear it again!
H&M put out a brand new lightning bolt sweater that was perfect for the holidays. I love fun prints, but candy canes or Santa prints look strange after the Christmas Season. Pax already owns a lightning bolt sweater so it was easy to purchase the new one for Gg. It made for a cute kid look that can be worn again and again.
