Pink Perfection
Mother’s day was so nice! My husband always makes it special for me. This year we celebrated all day! We started our morning off with a delicious breakfast, made by Josh, and then he helped me get the boys ready for church. After church Josh picked up some lunch and put both kids to bed while I sat on the couch and enjoyed an iced coffee. We ate in peace, while both boys napped, and caught up on some of our shows. Later in the afternoon we bought some flowers for the boys to give to my mother. They could give Nonni dirt in a bag and she would cry- I love it!
It was also my day for gifts – my father came through with the usual flowers. I think it is so cute that he includes me in Mother’s Day – I’m not even his mom! Josh’s gift was the best. Months ago, I had picked out simple black leather slides. They started off at $70 and by the time Mother’s Day arrived they were marked down to $34! Needless to say, that’s what Josh gave me. Happy Mother’s Day to me – right!?
This magenta dress is from H&M. It is super flattering to many body types and this is why- it counts as a “body con” dress, meaning it is contoured to your body. All my slim ladies can wear a body con dress, no problem. For my curvier girls (holla) this particular dress has a piece of fabric that drapes in the front hiding any “curves” that you don’t want to show off! Having the right amount of fabric in the right places sets your figure up to appear slimmer. This particular dress also has a liner inside that keeps everything nice and smooth!
The knee length of this dress totally works in my favor. Of course, length is totally your preference, however, for the record; I am 5’2” so anyone in the range of 5 -6 feet tall can generally wear this length well!
I picked up pink shirts for the boys around Easter time. We didn’t end up doing the whole pink theme so I saved them for Mother’s Day! I just can’t believe how cute they look! Pax really looked so cute in pink with his big blue eyes!
Shout out to all Momas – every day should be Mother’s Day!!
