The Nicolette

This past weekend my husband and I were part of a great wedding. I was asked to be the wedding planner, from start to finish. My husband was asked to read a verse and tell a little of the couple’s sweet story in the beginning part of the ceremony. We are so excited for the new Mr. and Mrs. Nicolette. Aside from it being an honor for the both of us to help out, we literally had a lot of fun!

Here is a picture of me with the bride and groom. I carried a list of photos to remind the photographers of specific shots that should be taken and can you believe it – I didn’t include me and Josh on it! #IhadOnejob

It took me 3 months to find this dress. I looked at over 10,000 dresses. (Think about it, the Nordstrom website alone has over 2600 black dresses!) I knew I wanted something sophisticated and long. The more I run around the sloppier I get and I didn’t want to look sloppy when it was finally show time! I wanted something under $100, because we have ten weddings this year and you know all that includes. Also, I didn’t want to look like I was part of the wedding party. I wanted a dress that I could wear again. How beautiful will this be for a Christmas party or a New Year’s Gala? Lastly, I wanted something that I didn’t already have! Of course I have a few different black floor length dresses, but nothing with sleeves and nothing tiered towards the bottom. This was worth the search!

I received so many compliments on this dress, from wedding guests to strangers on the street! It did not lose its shape or catch on anything throughout the entire night. The dress was super easy to dance in and I was comfortable from the moment I put it on.

I added a drop earring and a caged high heel sandal in black.

This dress is an ASOS find! Lucky for you this dress is still available in limited sizing!
