The Mint Dress

Well my little family had a crazy wedding weekend! I coordinated the rehearsal and ceremony for a Friday night wedding and my husband was in a wedding on Saturday, rehearsal being on Friday- an hour away! We ended up sending the kids away for the weekend. Win win for everyone!

Anything I get to do with my husband is almost always my favorite. I was on the hunt for a powder blue dress. Everything I found that was even slightly close to what I was looking for, ended up being over $400. We have 11 weddings this year. I need to be able to give gifts and afford the gas to get to these celebrations! A $400 dress wouldn’t fly with the hubs so I was on the hunt again.

Finally I came across The Mint Dress! It was the perfect midi length, a-line, lacey, dainty, girly dress, for the most affordable price. It was mint instead of blue but I could totally get over the color. This midi skater dress was purchased at boohoo.com but unfortunately is out of stock. However, I just learned that this very dress comes in black! I don’t’ know if I should finish this blog or order the dress!

*The best part is, if you use code YAY50 you get %50 off!

If you pay close attention to the detail you can see two sections with a cut out design. It looks very cute but makes for some “under boob” views. To avoid any future debacles I weaved ribbon in and out and sewed it into the dress. It was a .97-cent fix and made it so I didn’t even have to wear a bra.

I added a nude strappy sandal, simple gold jewelry, and a classic clutch purse!

A big BIG shout out to my photographer friend Jamie Burgess for the most beautiful impromptu photo shoot!
